RIVERS PDP SHENANIGANS, POLITICISIZATION OF ALGON MATTER IN COURT: THE TRUE POSITION – RIVERS APC
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Rivers State Chapter is dismayed that in the past one week or so, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has launched an all-out media war on both the Court of Appeal and the APC over the pending matter of sacked Rivers State Local Government Council Chairmen in Rivers State in 2015. In the ensuing media blitzkrieg, the PDP, in a full-blown press conference and sundry interviews their leaders have separately been granting the media made strings of accusations that impugned on the integrity of the Court of Appeal, some judges and, by direct inference, the APC.

Dumo Lulu-Briggs Hails Endorsement of Buhari For 2019 By Atiku Supporters in Adamawa State
Dumo Lulu-Briggs Hails Endorsement of Buhari For 2019 By Atiku Supporters in Adamawa State
Describes it as an Endorsement of Development and National Integrity
Frontline Rivers State APC chieftain and distinguished Rivers lawyer, Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs has hailed the recent endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari, by the Adamawa state chapter of the Alhaji Abubakar Atiku support group, describing the move as a clear signal that Nigerians appreciated the steady but qualitative leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Fielding questions on this latest development at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Sunday, 23rd of October, Chief Lulu-Briggs declared that by endorsing Presudent Buhari, the Atiku supporters and all other Nigerians at the meeting have endorsed development and national integrity.
Chief Lulu-Briggs made the disclosure while responding to the widely reported news that prominent supporters of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and some Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, had passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Muhammadu Jibrila Bindow of Adamawa State, urging them to run for a second term.
The endorsement had been made at a stakeholders’ meeting in Yola, the capital of Adamawa state, in a meeting that was attended by major political gladiators, comprising of party elders, members of the National and State Assemblies, elected council chairmen and party executives at all levels in the state.
Speaking further, Chief Lulu-Briggs noted that, "Like it or not, President Muhammadu Buhari is a blessing to Nigeria. I like his sense of judgement and soft but firm wisdom driven approach to governance. The problem is that people ignore the deeper things and pay attention to the less important. The president is succeeding in reshaping our thinking that has for long made us less industrious. Productivity is taking over from intellectual laziness, creativity is taking over from servitude; self reliance is becoming our culture," he noted with emphasis.
The Rivers born business mogul also averred that, "Apart from ideological development, the Buhari led administration is currently embarking on huge infrastructural revamping. Rail lines are being constructed to connect all the 36 states. He has achieved a lot in security and is not relenting. I believe he has the industrial consciousness that is required for the advancement of the nation. I hope that this endorsement in Adamawa state will be replicated soon in other states," he said.
Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs equally concurred with the views of Alhaji Abdulrahman Abba-Jimeta, the chairman of the meeting on behalf of the state Governor, who had noted that Adamawa state was interested in seeing that Buhari gets re-elected to fully deliver on his transformation agenda, even as he had added that the progress so far recorded in the war on terror, corruption and infrastructure development at state and national levels are commendable, stressing that Buhari and Osinbajo remain their choice for 2019.
The Adamawa meeting, which had endorsed President Buhari, also had in attendance the Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly , Hon. Emmanuel Tsamdu who spoke on behalf of Senators, House of Representatives members and the Adamawa State House of Assembly members respectively said they were okay with the resolutions reached by the stakeholders and would work towards their actualisation.
The meeting, according to reports, equally indicated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was represented by Yakubu Tsala who called for unity in the APC party , even as he had stressed the need for elective office holders to deliver more dividends of democracy to the electorate.

Bonny-Bodo Road: Wike Is Rivers Worst Enemy~ Dakuku Peterside
Bonny-Bodo Road: Wike Is Rivers Worst Enemy~ Dakuku Peterside
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has been labelled as the worst enemy of the people, following his alleged frequent "serial desperation and fake concern about the growth and development of the state."
The Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside stated this in Port Harcourt while reacting to attempts by Rivers State government to frustrate the flagging off of Bodo-Bonny road project by the Federal Government and the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited.
Dr Peterside declared that Governor Wike should be ashamed of himself for continually being a clog in the wheel of Rivers progress.
He recalled that while Wike was minister during the Goodluck Jonathan administration, oil wells belonging to Rivers state were ceded to Bayelsa without him saying anything, just as he also frustrated all efforts by the then Chibuike Amaechi administration to get back over N100bn spent on federal roads.
According to him, "the same Wike now wants to frustrate the flagging off of Bodo-Bonny road project that will not only employ our youth but will open up Rivers state to a new frontier."
The NIMASA DG stated the Rivers governor lacks the capacity to stop such a project or he should be prepared for the uprising of the people, whose lives will forever be changed by the road project.
"Let me assure Wike that the project will proceed as planned and completed. It will catalyse the development of Bonny and Ogoni land.
"The FG is committed to the project, and no amount of resistance will stop it. One hundred Wike cannot stop this project. Such hatred for Bonny and Ogoni people is being taken too far.
"I will repeat this; Wike lacks the capacity, ingenuity and resourcefulness to govern Rivers state. He has no single economic plan to make the state better. On the one hand, he cries for development, on another, he plays the ostrich. How can a sensible governor hang the fate of Ogoni and Bonny people in suspense," he queried.
Dr Peterside assured the people Ogoni and Bonny axis that the project would go on as scheduled and that he would personally lead Rivers people to protest to Government House, Port Harcourt should Governor Wike do anything to hamper the road infrastructure.
