---Victoria Nyeche advises Elekahia Youths
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Victoria Nyeche has advised the youths of Elekahia, Ward 19, Port Harcourt LGA to discover and develop their talents with a view to eking out a living from such talents and skills.
Speaking at the kick-off ceremony of the Elekahia Unity Cup on Sunday, she said; "The more people are actively involved in sports, the more they develop the spirit sportsmanship, the less they are available for vices. So, it is a way of encouraging our youths to keep themselves busy and fit."
She continued by saying that competitions such as the Elekahia Unity Cup could be a springboard for discovering future professional footballers who would impact their world in professional football.
"Of course, it is a way of also developing talents and discovering the young ones that can make great profession in football. In the past, I have been able to discover two young people and assisted them to get sign-on. It is something we've done in the past and are willing to continue for our collective benefit," she said.
