Governorship Judgement: Our Legitimate Struggle To Salvage Abia Continues.

Governorship Judgement: Our Legitimate Struggle To Salvage Abia Continues.

Being Text Of Dr. Alex Otti's Message To Abians Following The Judgement Of The Governorship Election Tribunal Which Dismissed His Petition.

On Friday, the 20th day of September, 2019, a three man governorship election tribunal panel sitting in Umuahia dismissed the suit my party and I filed challenging the questionable election of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, on the grounds that we didn't prove our case of over voting and non compliance with INEC guidelines.

Unlike our opponents who resort to unrestrained condemnation of the judiciary and judicial officers, and indulge in lowlife lawlessness and barbaric brigandage whenever a judgement goes against them, we are determined to uphold our practice of civility and responsibility in expressing our disapproval of the judgement which we believe is questionable, unsound, and lacks every ingredient and trademark of judicial excellence.

Juxtaposing what transpired in court and the overwhelming evidence presented by our legal team with the said judgement, one would be left with the undisputed conclusion that; technicality was allowed to override facts at the expense of adjudication of justice.

While we consider that judgement a temporary setback in our sincere and altruistic quest to lawfully advance the process of reclaiming our state from her captors and setting it on the path of socio-political and economic recovery and general development, we however remain undeterred, unperturbed, and undistracted by such man-made hitches, because, our voyage is neither for fantasy, nor a project for the unfaithful and faint hearted. In fact, our resolve has been strengthened further in this battle.

If candidates from progressive states could approach the courts to seek redress in election matters, then, there's no reason why those of us in a plundered and suffocated Abia state should not boldly continue our well thought out selfless sacrifice aimed at halting the provocative destruction of our common heritage, Abia state.

While our legal team reviews the judgement and prepares for the next line of action, I urge our teaming supporters and millions of Abians who have been eager to see the Light at the end of the tunnel, to remain faithful, strong and committed; our voyage is destined for success because God sees our hearts, and knows that our mission is not selfish but for the good of our people.

Unlike our opponents, we are not negatively desperate, neither are we ignorant of the real issues at stake, so while they have resorted to their usual character of mudslinging, inconsequential defamation, provocative attacks, timid and tactless tantrums, and other uncivilized and irresponsible acts aimed at dampening our spirit, distract us and present Abia as a fiefdom of filthiness where clowns are champions, kindly educate and bring them to their senses to realise that the issue is not about an Alex Otti who would have no personal loss should he take a walk, but about millions of Abians whose lives and businesses have been rendered impotent and comatose by a government that has redefined incompetence in governance.

However, while playing your individual and collective roles aimed at salving Abia in the most decent way, do not succumb to their bullying, insults, verbal attacks and cheap threats, rather repel them, assert your progressive authority, and even go ahead to win those lost souls who have surrendered to be their slaves and sychophants due to unbearable hunger in Abia, so that darkness would not overwhelm light.

Keep hope alive, believe God's prophecy for Abia, and be rest assured, that, the songs of freedom shall rain the air in Abia in no distant time.

Signed
