TSO says Tinubu Will Not Play Anti-party In Rivers, Declares Support For Tonye Cole, Other APC Candidates 

The Rivers State coordinator of the Tinubu Support Organization TSO, Alhaji Faruq Chukwuma has said that the group is determined to work for the victory of all candidates of the All  Progressives Congress beginning from the Presidency to the House of Assembly. 

Alhaji Chukwuma who was a chieftain of the defunct NADECO, and PRONACO stated that, as a loyal party man, the presidential candidate of the APC, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to the victory of the party in the state. 

Speaking on Sunday in a brief meeting with Architect Tonye Patrick Cole, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chukwuma pointed out that, though some politicians and candidates of other political parties may be trying to hide under his cover to extract electoral benefits for themselves, Ahmed Tinubu will not be associated with anti-party activities. 

"Tinubu understands that Lagos, Rivers and Kano are important for any ruling party and will do all it takes to help deliver all APC candidates."

"As members of TSO, we are not unaware that we must work hard to win the  governorship in Rivers State, for us to be able to reach out to our members in the grassroots", he added. 

Responding, the governorship candidate of the APC in Rivers State, Architect Tonye Cole  stated that, politics in Rivers State, should not be  taken lightly because the  state is in a very bad shape. 

He said : "during our ward campaigns in 2019 , we were shocked to see communities in Rivers State with no form of government presence". 

"Rivers People are waiting for us to change things and we cannot take a gift that has been given to us and throw away", he added. 

Tonye Cole affirmed that the APC in the state is well positioned to mobilize and deliver winning votes for Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the 2023 elections. 

"I grew up in a political climate and our presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well known to me and my family. We will ensure that Rivers State delivers winning votes to him".
