Former Nigerian Ambassador to the Royal Kingdom of Netherlands and the Candidate of the APC for Rivers Southeast Senatorial District, His Excellency, Chief Hon. Amb. Oji Ngofa, today engaged with some young intellectuals selected from the various LGAs of his Senatorial District.
The engagement, which was interactive in nature, was used to communicate the Ambassador's views about politics and governance and leadership as it affects the people of Rivers Southeast Senatorial District and Rivers state in general.
The job of a senator, as explained by the ambassador, is to collate the views of the people and articulate them at the highest level in such a way that attracts development and progress to the people. The ambassador said the only way we can be included at the highest level in Nigeria is to have a voice that reflects the voice of the people and pursue it to be taken seriously.
Amb. Oji Ngofa is poised to taking representation to a whole new level, creating standards that Rivers State in general is not really used to, and engagement of this nature, one of many he has held since his foray into the 2023 senatorial race, is going to be a common place in his senatorial endeavours, both now and when elected. And there is no doubt that Amb. Ngofa has the experience, exposure and passion to make that happen.
